The bill now heads to the U.S. House of Representatives where it is expected to pass on August 12. Assuming passage by a majority of the House, President Biden is expected to sign the IRA into law. The IRA includes significant investments in health care, climate change, and deficit reduction. <\/p>\n<h4 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Help for individuals and families needing financial assistance<\/h4>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The most important factor affecting our clients who are on subsidized Marketplace Qualified Health Plans (QHP), is the extending of enhanced marketplace subsidies adopted under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/1319\">American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">These IRA subsides will be critical to helping the millions expected to lose medicaid when the declared public health emergency comes to an end, making the transition to marketplace coverage much easier. <\/p>\n<h4 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Help for Seniors<\/h4>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The legislation would lower prescription drug costs for people with Medicare and reduce drug spending by the federal government.
